  • Brown sugar
  • Cinnamon (ground)

How to Make an Apple Cider Martini

  1. Chill a martini glass while you prepare the other ingredients.
  2. Place caramel sauce on one shallow plate and mix brown sugar with ground cinnamon on another plate.
  3. Thinly slice an apple and squeeze a little lemon juice on the slices to prevent browning; thread slices onto a cocktail pick for garnish.
  4. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add vodka and spiced apple cider.
  5. Shake vigorously until the shaker is cold and frosted.
  6. Dip the chilled martini glass into the caramel, then into the brown sugar–cinnamon mixture to coat the rim.
  7. Strain the cocktail into the rimmed glass.
  8. Garnish with apple slices, a cinnamon stick, or star anise, and lightly dust with ground cinnamon. Serve immediately.
